Want to Try Archery?  Yering District Archers Have Come N Try Sessions on Saturdays Morning’s 2 to 3 times a month from 10:00am to 11:00am run by our dedicated and qualified volunteer coaches. Cost is $15 per person, including the use of our equipment and facilities. It's an easy way to have some affordable family fun!  Please arrive by 9:45am for allocation of equipment. Bonus Offer! Rules and Conditions Please show your purchase receipt at time of arrival, a wrist band will be given.  When purchasing multiple tickets, every person who is shooting must have a ticket with their personal details. Closed toe shoes must be worn, no open toe shoes allowed. Ensure your clothing is not too baggy as this may impede the bow string. We do not accept cash payments. The kitchen is open with snags and drinks avilable to purchases at the end of the session. Persons who require a carer. We require the carer to fill in their full name and contact number must be included in your ticket purchase on the next page. Persons under the age of 18 require a parent/guardian/carer  If you do not require a carer/parent, N/A can be entered into this field to allow the ticket to proceed. Cancellation of your session must be done within 24 hours before the booked session. A refund may be given but will incur a small admin fee. If you are using our rest facilities, we kindly ask to keep this clean and disinfect surfaces when finished. People who turn up without a prior booking will not be accepted. After an extremely successful indoor season, it is the time again where we need to plan removing all the equipment from the Wandin East shed and take it back to the club.  The confirmed date for this working bee is Sunday 21st September.  We will need two crews of volunteers to support at each venue.  9.30am - One crew at Wandin East to dismantle the setup, load trailers, and transport equipment. Trailers, drills, gloves, brooms/vacuums/leaf blowers required 11.00am - One crew at YDA to unload trailers and store equipment. Gloves recommended. This crew will also make up additional targets faces for our next QRE.    Please register which location you will be able to support at by choosing the appropriate ticket

Welcome to our annual club family day and AGM. This is a great opportunity to come together to celebrate being part of the club with a shared lunch and a fun shoot. Plan for the day: Midday - Lunch put on by the club 12:30 - Annual General Meeting (Recap on the year that was) 13:00 - Family day shoot event For the shoot event we will have an area setup where family members who are not members can get involved in archery. This is a great chance to show your family what you do when you go shooting.' To assist with planning the day could you please make sure to nominate the names of family members who will be coming with you on the day. ** Note this event is only open to current club members and their families, it is not open to the general public ** If you are not a member but would like to try archery, then please register for one of the Come & Try sessions held each Saturday.

Urban Archery - Victorian Invitational Indoor Matchplay.  This event will give our top archers more exposure to matchplay, using the benefits of a mutual distance/target face size to encourage more heavily contested event.  We will use the State/National Indoor scores to select the participants for this event. All spectators are welcome to come along and see the best archers in the state shoot off againt each other.  There are special viewing area next to the shooting line to get the best view of the archers in action. As usual YDA will be running food and drink at the venue from before registration till after the medal rounds are completed. Ranking Archers will be seeded using their results from the Indoor State Championships held in July 2025. Scoring Scoring format will be World Archery matchplay scoring. Compound will shoot 5 ends of 3 arrows for a maximum score of 150. Inner ten only Recurve, Barebow and Longbow will use the set system 9.3mm arrow size limit for matches. Target Faces Compound - 3 Spot Traffic Lights. Open Men’s Compound, Open Women’s Compound, U18 Compound. Recurve - 3 Spot Traffic Lights. Open Men’s Recurve, Open Women’s Recurve. Recurve - 40cm Single. U18 Recurve, All Barebow, All Longbow. To be invited to compete You will need to have finished with one of the Top 4 point scores at the Victorian State Indoor Championships from the following divisions, as ranked from the July 2025 Indoor State Championships. Open Men’s Compound^ Open Men’s Recurve^ Open Women’s Compound^ Open Women’s Recurve^ U18 Recurve* U18 Compound* All Barebow All Longbow ^ Open – Includes U21, Open, Masters, Vets, Vet + * U18 – Includes U18, U16, U14, U12. Boys and Girls Combined. Competitors can only compete in one division even if they qualify for more than one. Archers who qualify for more than one division may select the division they wish to compete in. If a competitor turns down a spot then the offer moves down to the next highest qualified person , until all 4 archer spots for a division are filled. The Event Semi-Finals matches will be 4 up on each target lane, shooting in the AB,CD,CD,AB world archery format with all rounds being shot concurrently. Archers will have no spotter and will score their own arrows. Bronze Medal matches will be 2 up on each target lane, shooting AB only with all rounds being shot concurrently. Archers will have no spotter and will score their own arrows. Gold Medal matches will be shot one at a time, shooting AB only with alternating shot clock.  Each archer will need a spotter / scorer as the archer will not be scoring their own arrows. Due to the limited space in the venue with a full flight and supporter, we ask archers to please setup your gear at your car. Event is full - contact us if you want to be put on a list if anybody drops out. Another year and another 25m, this year we will shoot two Australian Indoor rounds. 30 arrows at 25m on a choice of 3 spot or 60cm single face, then anthor 30 arrows at 25m.  These are two seperate rounds so you can shoot two diffrent bow types if you wish.  Recurve for the first and compound for the second.  longbow - compound etc   This tournament will have a very limited spaces as the venue has only ten lanes. Shooting AB and CD will give us a total capacity of 40 archers on the day.   The 25m Australian Indoors will be shot in the morning and after the completion of the two rounds.  There will be a quick handicapped knock out matchplay with a $50 AUD prize for the winner. Please note that this event is held at the Big Green Shed, Wandin East Recreation Reserve 72 Monbulk-Seville Road, Wandin East, 3139.
