Target Round – The 72 arrow rounds are the primary rounds that will be shot at all target QREs, although 144 arrow rounds may also be shot as an additional option. 13) In line with Archery Australia Shooting Rules the host shall check the membership card of each entrant at registration to ensure they are current financial affiliates. 14) The QRE Official or Judge officiating at the QRE MUST carry out Equipment Inspection prior to the start of shooting. Conditions/Rules 11) Target QREs must be shot outdoors during daylight hours. 15) Scores may be considered for a “Record Claim” but only if a Judge (Candidate Judge) was officiating and the QRE was conducted in line with “Record Requirements”, in that there must have been competitors from more than on club shooting and completing the QRE. 19) There must be a minimum of 20 minutes and a maximum of 45 minutes practice provided. 20) All shooting (scoring) MUST commence at the same time and as soon as possible after practice has been completed. 21) All shooting must be timed and timing must be in line with World Archery rules. 22) World Archery rules must be followed at all times. 23) Due to possible divisions and entry numbers if there is only 1 archer shooting on a target, a Judge/QRE Official or an archer from a nearby target MUST supervise scoring. 24) There are two scoring methods permitted for QREs - Double paper scoring Electronic scoring (with a single paper scorecard) using Archers Diary's "Iscored.today". Victorian - Invitational Indoor Matchplay.  This event will give our top archers more exposure to matchplay, using the benefits of a mutual distance/target face size to encourage more heavily contested event.  We will use the State/National Indoor scores to select the participants for this event. All spectators are welcome to come along and see the best archers in the state shoot off againt each other.  There will be a special viewing area next to the shooting line to get the best view of the action. Archery Victoria will also be presenting the State medals from the 2024 State Indoor. As usual YDA will be running food and drink at the venue from before registration till after the medal rounds are completed. Ranking Archers will be seeded using their results from the Indoor State Championships. Scoring Scoring format will be World Archery scoring. Compound will shoot 5 ends of 3 arrows for a maximum score of 150. Inner ten only Recurve, Barebow and Longbow will use the set system 9.3mm arrow size limit for matches. Target Faces Compound - 3 Spot Traffic Lights. Open Men’s Compound, Open Women’s Compound, U18 Compound. Recurve - 3 Spot Traffic Lights. Open Men’s Recurve, Open Women’s Recurve. Recurve - 40cm Single. U18 Recurve, All Barebow, All Longbow. To be invited to compete You will need to be in the Top 4 from the Victorian State Indoor Championships from the following divisions, as ranked at the recent 2024 Indoor State Championships. Open Men’s Compound^ Open Men’s Recurve^ Open Women’s Compound^ Open Women’s Recurve^ U18 Recurve* U18 Compound* All Barebow All Longbow ^ Open – Includes U21, Open, Masters, Vets, Vet + * U18 – Includes U18, U16, U14, U12. Boys and Girls Combined. Competitors can only compete in one division even if they qualify for more than one. Archers who qualify for more than one division may select the division they wish to compete in. If a competitor turns down a spot then the offer moves down to the next qualified person , until all 4 archer spots for a division are filled. End of event grand finale Vegas style shoot-off*  A second chance event, will gives those knocked out early another chance to shoot under pressure and win some cash across five divisions. Open Men’s Compound Open Men’s Recurve Open Women’s Compound Open Women’s Recurve All Barebow, All Longbow, U18 Recurve and U18 Compound. *Shoot-off format is that all archers will shoot 3 arrows, walk down to the target and collect and keep doing so until the highest score wins. Inner 10 scoring for compound and regular scoring for recurve. For example, if after end 1, the scores are 30,29,29,28. The archer with a 30 has won and the event is concluded, however if the scores are 30,30,30,29. All those who have “tied the highest score” will continue until there is 1 archer left with the highest total score for their 3 arrows. This can last for 1 end or could be multiple.
